Senator Robert Byrd dead

So this morning West Virginia Sen. Robert Byrd was died at the age of 92. It is not his death I want to talk about. It is his life that is the topic of this article. Senator Byrd held his Senate seat for over 50 years. The discussions of many articles that I have read is how great it was that he served this long and how commendable it was, etc, etc. I could not disagree with this any more. Anyone who is in politics for a life long career should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!
The only time I can see someone staying in politics for a long time is if they continually run for different offices.
The main thing that this country needs is term limits. No matter how ethical someone is, Washington DC will corrupt them if they stay there long enough. They will eventually give in here and then there and then it is all down hill. If this country is ever going to get back on the right path one of the things we will have to have is term limits!!!!
