Child molesters should be allowed to run a daycare. Does anyone agree with that statement? Of course not (although scary enough there might be a few that do.) Should someone who habitually drinks and drives be given a car with a travel fridge of beer in it? Should a poacher be given a gun and turned loose in a zoo and told to have fun? No one thinks that you should be rewarded for breaking the law. Well, that’s not entirely true.
Why do people think that those who break the immigration law should be rewarded by given citizenship? THEY SHOULD NOT!!!!
This new DREAM Act that passed the House is a load of CRAP!!! Anyone who supports it is an idiot!!! We need to make these people go back where they came from and then return legally if they wish.
One of the biggest problems with this country is that so many people think that they are entitled to so many things. If they lose their jobs they are entitled to unemployment money from the government. If they don’t have as much money as they want they are entitled to handouts. They want this and they want that. GET YOUR HAND OUT OF MY POCKET AND GET A JOB!!!! IF YOU DON”T LIKE IT GET OUT OF THE COUNTRY!!!
Now don’t get me wrong, I am not against helping those in need. HOWEVER, it is not the governments place to do that. That should be left up to individuals. Before the 60’s it was left up to individuals, churches, organizations, etc. Who gave the government the right to say this person is worthy. No one! The government is horrible at deciding things like that. They also spend too much money running a program like that.
Like I said earlier, I am not against helping others, but it should be of my own free will. I would venture to say that I give more than many of the people who read this. The church that I am a part of does a lot of this type of work in the community, expecting nothing in return. We have built houses, done repairs in New Orleans (over 30 building trips since Katrina), and helped out locally. I have spent time and money in helping this goal.
This is my big beef with it. IF the government would get out of the way, individuals would have more money to help with. We can do it more effectively than the government. We can do a better job of deciding who is truly needy. Notice how I have not stated my religious beliefs. Although I don’t think that all religions get you to heaven, at least most religions promote helping others and would benefit form this.
